  • Empower & Elevate: The Costa Rica Retreat for Women in Leadership (June 18-22, 2025)

Life moves fast, and as ambitious women, we often find ourselves pouring into others—our families, our businesses, and our communities—without taking the time to pour into ourselves.

But what if you gave yourself the gift of time and space to reconnect with your purpose, restore your energy, and craft a bold vision for the future?

The Empower & Elevate Retreat is more than an escape—it’s a transformational journey for women ready to embrace their power, refine their purpose, and rise into their next chapter.

Imagine stepping away from the busyness of everyday life to focus on YOU—your dreams, your goals, and your well-being. In 2025, Thrive In Learning is hosting a once-in-a-lifetime retreat in beautiful Costa Rica for up to 12 women leaders.

2023~ Teddyfly hosted our first Read Local book drive and received enough support to provide 80 free books to local students. We also had numerous live events including publishing workshops for adults, storytelling workshops for students of all ages, read aloud events and story times.

2022~ Lots of fun opportunities to meet with new readers and writers through markets, conferences, book signings and publishing workshops. Including some out-of-state events in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Dubuque, Iowa. This year, we hosted our first Read Local booth which allowed local authors to showcase their stories to the public free of charge.

2021~ We officially launched our own imprint, Teddyfly Publishing, and signed our first two authors. This was also our first year to host writing workshops for kids.

2020~ Although the world was in a bit of a lockdown which made events quite slim, Teddyfly was able to support authors all over the United States through ghostwriting and publishing services.

The stories must live on!
